Don’t worry parents, no broken arms here! Our Medicine and Healthcare students were just working with Dr. Chang, learning the skill of soft casting, a type of cast that becomes harder with exposure to the moisture in the air. This allows students more time to perfect their skills as they applied a short arm cast to one another. During this activity they were also randomly paired which allowed them to meet and network with students in the program that they hadn’t had the chance to meet yet. This led to a lot of chatter and smiles as they worked with Dr. Chang to be sure they applied the cast correctly. They definitely had a lot of fun with this one!
