Biotechnology is a field that encompasses many and varied possibilities for study and careers. Our students got a taste of this today as they spent time at our Biotech Expo, learning more about things like biofuels, epidemiology and contact tracing, DNA extraction, and more. Although they performed experiments on a smaller scale, much of the subject matter they learned is applicable to things they may study in the future, and to problems we are currently experiencing as a planet. After all, they will likely be the generation to solve many of our environmental and biological issues!
