Yesterday our biotech students had an amazing opportunity to visit the offices of Nonfiction Design, “an award-winning creative studio specializing in industrial design, branding, user experience design, space architecture, engineering and strategy.” They demonstrated not only some of their incredible biotech devices, namely wearables and devices that can positively impact human health and wellbeing, they also showed their unique design process and practice. The students were impressed by both the speakers and the space, one was even overheard saying “this is amazing, this is exactly what I’ve been wanting to see”. Others expressed that they were unaware until now that some of the creative things the firm was doing could be under the umbrella of biotech. This is what NSLC is all about, exposing students to the many and varied aspects of a possible career field!
