Getting hands on experience is what sets NSLC programs apart. Our HEAL students had the opportunity to learn softcasting with Dr. Harris Masket. This activity allowed them to learn applicable medical skills as well as bedside manner and communication. Don’t worry parents, no one actually broke their arm, but everyone did get the chance to both apply and have a cast applied on their arm, which is always a fun activity and makes for some great photos. While half the program participated in this rotation the other half met with their TA groups to continue working on prepping their PSA presentations.
